Annie Fox

This interactive seminar will include key topics such as

  • bullying
  • parental influence
  • peer abuse/ pressure
  •  school bullying
  •  "what if your child is a bully"

and how a parent/ teacher/ student can make a difference in a child /tween/ student's life.

  • Details:-  “Why are kids mean to each other?”
  • That’s what a 10-year-old California boy wanted to know. With the amount of bullying going on in schools across the country you as parents or students might be wondering the same thing.
  • The pressure for peer approval can cause 5th-8th graders to lose sight of what’s right. By doing whatever it takes to fit in, kids act out thoughtlessly every day. Their choices can hurt others deeply and make school a very unsafe and unhappy place. Tweens need help dealing with bullies and so-called “friends.”

About the presenter:

  • Annie Fox M.Ed.,, respected teacher and author of the award-winning Middle School Confidential™ series, helps students fight back against “peer approval addiction” so they’re better able to think for themselves and behave in ways that reflect positive social values.
  • Based on her books, these highly dynamic presentations challenge youth to think about their emotions and behavior in revolutionary ways while encouraging more respectful, cooperative choices at school and at home.
  • Parents and Teachers have enormous potential to influence school-wide social change. Annie’s parent education workshops and teacher trainings provide unique opportunities to explore the social reality of 21st Century tweens. By providing a clear understanding of adolescent brain development and insight into how self-perceptions can work against self-confidence, Annie helps adults give students what they need for healthy social/emotional development in middle school and beyond.
